Take moment now that we are in a forced pause and consider a few things. First, what was it like ages ago when there was no technology and life consisted of keeping the same hours as the sun i.e. from dawn till dusk and making that time count. At some point in your lifetime you will come to realize and make an effort to give-back or assist another in some way perhaps out of a need or to fill a void for all concerned. When I was a full-time practicing agent out there in the trenches an opportunity came-up for me to volunteer for my local board. Called Grievance Committee, I was told I would sit on a panel and hear situations involving ethics and agents in real life scenarios. I thought that this could become quite helpful so I volunteered. The best thing I ever did REAL KNOWLEDGE In my first few reviews with fellow panel members, I was amazed at how much I did not know. You heard me right! We all have a skills bank unique and different but similar in that those abilities can produce whatever is necessary not only for the user and possessor of the "bank" but for others as well. The common use is to lend someone or sell them your talents and gifts for a fee and we have employer/employee interactions plus services/products offerings profitable for all. I wanted to help agents help themselves to become sharper and more precise on what they were doing, are doing and why. Sitting on a grievance committee or professional standards board gave me direct access to practicing agents who may or may not be aware of certain rules. The problem was that we met when there was a problem or a complaint ACCOUNTABILITY I always thought, and still do, that if someone was able to see the error of their ways and change the part they played, then that would be a worthy endeavor and something proud to be a part of. I surf the net all the time. I do a lot of research for various subject matters and I never know where I will end up as sometimes one subject leads to another and then another. One thing I have noticed at times is the surprise of when I come across posts from people I know when I least expect it HEY...ITS YOU There is something about knowing the person or knowing of them that makes that source of information special. I was meeting up with potential buyers for a nice short sale recently. I like to schedule showings either concurrently or back to back. I made appointments and met up with my first group. While there, my second party showed and instantly recognized each other as having met before. Every one lived in different areas too. That's what I call them.....let me explain. You see every once in a while, wherever I go or wherever I am, I do something I normally don't do. I actually look for the opportunity. I'll name a few even though there are hundreds of examples....... For instance...... I saw three young boys riding their bikes the other day. They could have been you or me when we were kids.
